The Aquarium Co-Op Fine Poly Pad is a dense, tightly-woven water-polishing filter floss that pulls the finest particulate out of your water column for visibly clearer water. It cuts down easily to fit inside just about any filter, and it works in both freshwater and saltwater setups. Pair it with more media from our filter media collection.

How It Works
Tiny particles of uneaten food and waste slip through coarse filter media and keep circulating in your tank, clouding the water and breaking down into ammonia over time. The Fine Poly Pad adds a layer of fine mechanical filtration that captures that detritus before it can cause problems, so your water stays clean and clear and your filter runs more efficiently.
How to Use
Cut the pad to fit your filter and place it in the water flow after your coarse mechanical media and before your biological media. Rinse it if it clogs quickly, and replace it once it stops flowing well or stays discolored. For heavily stocked or messy tanks, keep a spare on hand.

Where does it go in my filter?

Can I rinse and reuse it?
You can rinse it a time or two if it clogs, but as a fine polishing pad it is meant to be replaced once it stays discolored or slows your flow.
