AquaVitro Shrimp Tube
A safe retreat for your shrimp. The AquaVitro Shrimp Tube is a ceramic refuge that gives dwarf shrimp a dark, secure place to hide, molt, and breed. Small shrimp are most vulnerable right after they shed their exoskeleton, and berried females look for seclusion while carrying eggs, so a dedicated hide lowers stress and improves survival. The porous ceramic surface also grows biofilm and algae over time, a natural food source your shrimp will graze around the clock.
It is a great addition to any shrimp or nano tank. Pair it with our freshwater shrimp and inverts and browse more freshwater gear.

FAQ
What shrimp is it for? Dwarf shrimp like cherry (Neocaridina) and crystal (Caridina), and it also suits small fish and fry that want a place to hide.
Will it change my water? No. The ceramic is inert and will not affect your parameters.
How many should I use? One per small colony is a good start; add more as the colony grows or in larger tanks.
Does it need special care? No, just rinse it before first use. The biofilm that forms afterward is beneficial and shrimp love it.
