How Much Do I Need

As a rough guide, about 1 to 1.5 lb of sand per gallon creates a 1 inch bed, or roughly 2 lb per gallon for a 2 inch bed. Rinsing is not required, and you can add it to a running tank a little at a time.

FAQ

Do I need to rinse it? No. Ocean Direct is ready to use, and rinsing would wash away the beneficial bacteria.
