Why a rear-mount arm

Where a light sits over the tank changes everything below it. Height and horizontal position shape how light spreads across the aquascape, where shadows fall, and how evenly the far corners are lit. A fixed, stable arm holds that position day after day, so your corals and plants see consistent light and your display stays free of clutter overhead.

Rimless or Euro Braced: which one

• Rimless mounts to the bare glass edge of an open-top, rimless aquarium. This is the standard arm for most modern reef and planted tanks.
• Euro Braced adds the euro-brace upgrade kit, which clears and clamps around the plastic or glass cross-brace found on rimmed and euro-braced tanks. Pick this one if your aquarium has a bracing bar around the top rim.

Both versions position the X4 identically once installed. The only difference is how the arm attaches to your tank's top edge.

Does this fit any light, or just the X4? It is designed specifically for the Dalua Illumagic X4 and its mounting hardware.

My tank has a brace around the top. Which do I need? Choose the Euro Braced version. Its upgrade kit is made to clamp past a euro brace or center brace. If your tank is fully rimless, choose Rimless.

Do I need a rail or a second arm? No. The rear arm mounts a single X4 from the back of the tank on its own. For multi-fixture layouts, ask us about the Dalua rail system.

Can I use it on a freshwater planted tank? Yes. The arm works on any freshwater or saltwater tank whose top edge matches the version you choose.
