Exo Terra Fogger Ultrasonic Fog Generator
The Exo Terra Fogger is an ultrasonic fog generator that turns water into a cool, dense fog to raise humidity and create a striking natural mist in any terrarium. Sit it in a water dish or reservoir, plug it in, and an ultrasonic ceramic disc vibrates to lift a steady stream of cold fog, no heat and no moving parts to wear out.
It increases air humidity up to 100%, which makes it ideal for tropical species and live plants, and it doubles as a dramatic visual effect. Use it to roll low clouds and fog through a rainforest terrarium or to mimic early morning dew in a desert setup.
What it does
- Raises air humidity up to 100%
- Produces a cool mist without heating the water
- Creates a natural, misty, damp environment in all types of terrariums
- Great visual effect, low clouds and fog for tropical setups, morning dew for desert setups
- Sits in any water feature or reservoir as shallow as about 5 cm, roughly 2 inches
How to use
- Place the fogger in a water dish, bowl, or water feature with at least about 5 cm of water
- Keep the ceramic disc fully submerged and top up the water as it evaporates so it never runs dry
- Use clean, distilled, or dechlorinated water to keep the disc clear and the fog output strong
- Route the fog into the terrarium and adjust placement to spread humidity where you want it

FAQ
How does the fogger work?
An ultrasonic ceramic disc vibrates rapidly under the water and lifts it into a fine, cool fog. There is no heater, so the mist is cold and safe for the terrarium.
How much water does it need?
Keep the disc submerged in at least about 5 cm, roughly 2 inches, of water and top it up as it evaporates. Running it dry can shorten its life.
What water should I use?
Clean, distilled, or dechlorinated water works best. Minerals in hard tap water build up on the disc and reduce the fog output over time.
What is it good for?
Any setup that needs higher humidity or a fog effect, from rainforest terrariums with dart frogs, chameleons, and tropical plants to desert enclosures that benefit from a morning dew cycle.
