What it does

Reptiles need a balance of ultraviolet, visible, and infrared light to stay healthy. The Solar Glo is a full-spectrum lamp with carefully tuned peaks that encourage natural behavior and support calcium metabolism, helping to prevent metabolic bone disease. Fixture and safety

The Solar Glo screws into a standard ceramic socket with no separate ballast needed. Always use a lamp fixture rated for the bulb's wattage. Do not use this bulb with a dimmer, rheostat, or thermostat, as reducing the power will damage the lamp and cut its UVB output. Replace the bulb periodically, since UVB output declines over time even while the bulb still lights.
