Exo Terra Terrarium Cleaner (8.4 oz)
Exo Terra Terrarium Cleaner is a mineral deposit cleaning gel that lifts stubborn calcium and lime stains off terrarium glass, so the view into your habitat stays crystal clear. Tap water is the main culprit behind that cloudy white film: every time water from misting, foggers, or topping off evaporates, it leaves hard water minerals behind on the glass. This non-toxic gel dissolves those deposits without the ammonia, alcohol, or petrochemicals you would never want near an animal enclosure.
Use it on the glass of your Exo Terra Turtle Haven or any smooth-surface terrarium, and browse the rest of our reptile and turtle supplies to keep the whole habitat looking its best.
Key Features
- Removes mineral deposits fast: lifts the calcium, lime, and hard water stains that plain wiping leaves behind.
- Non-toxic, enclosure-safe formula: free of ammonia, alcohol, dyes, perfumes, and petrochemicals.
- Clings where you need it: the gel stays put on vertical glass instead of running off, so it keeps working on the stain.
- More than glass: safe on plastic and other smooth surfaces around the habitat.
- Made for misting buildup: clears the chalky residue left by foggers and misting systems that run on tap water.
How to Use
- Apply the gel to the glass, plastic, or other smooth surface with a paper towel or dry, clean cloth.
- Leave it on the treated area for a few minutes so it can react with the mineral deposits.
- Lightly brush the stain in a circular motion with a clean cloth, working from the outside of the stain toward its center.
- Rinse with water and dry with a clean cloth.
- If the stain persists, repeat the procedure.
Take your animal out before a deep clean and rinse the treated surface thoroughly before returning any inhabitants. Pair it with Exo Terra Turtle Clean to keep the water itself clear while this gel handles the glass.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it safe to use with my reptile or turtle in the enclosure?
Remove your animal first and rinse the glass thoroughly before returning it. The formula is non-toxic and free of ammonia, alcohol, and petrochemicals, but any cleaner should be fully rinsed off before inhabitants go back in.
Will it scratch or cloud the glass?
No. It is a gel rather than an abrasive, so it lifts deposits chemically. Brush gently with a soft cloth and the glass comes out clear.
What are the white stains it removes?
Hard water minerals. As water from misting, foggers, or topping off evaporates, it leaves calcium and lime behind as a chalky film on the glass.
Can I use it outside the terrarium?
Yes. It works on glass, plastic, and other smooth surfaces, so it is handy on aquarium hoods, glass lids, and misting system parts too.
