Hanna Instruments HI735-25 Total Hardness Low Range Reagents (25 Tests) | Short Dated Clearance, Exp 11/2026
Short dated clearance, one box only. Printed expiration 11/2026. A sealed, unopened HI735-25 reagent kit, 25 tests, at $16.49 instead of $24.99 because the date on it is next month. Sold as is, final sale, and not eligible for free shipping.
Be clear eyed about what that means. At 25 tests you are not going to finish this box before the printed date, so most of it will be past date by the time you get to it. That is exactly why it is marked down.
Hanna prints an expiration date and lot number on every component for traceability. Reagent past its date is not dangerous and does not spoil in any dramatic way, it simply loses potency over time, so readings can start to drift low. This is a good buy if you want an inexpensive spare kit, if you are testing often over the next few weeks, or if a little drift does not matter for what you are doing. If you need readings you can fully trust months from now, buy the regular dated stock instead.
What Short Dated Means Here
- Sealed, unopened, never used
- Same complete HI735-25 kit, same 25 test count
- Printed expiration 11/2026
- Final sale, no returns on clearance stock
- Excluded from free shipping promotions
What Is in the Box
This is a four part kit, not a strip of sachets. Each test uses a measured amount of several components, which is why the box is heavier than most Hanna reagent refills.
| HI735A-0, Reagent A | 2 bottles, 115 mL each |
| HI735B-0, Reagent B | 1 bottle, 6 mL |
| HI735C-0 powder | 25 sachets |
| HI735IND-0, indicator | 1 bottle, 16 mL |
Together that is enough for 25 total hardness tests. Every component is printed with a lot number and an expiration date.
Fits Only the HI735
These reagents are specific to the HI735 Total Hardness Low Range Checker. They are not interchangeable with reagents for Hanna's alkalinity, calcium, phosphate or nitrite checkers, each of which has its own reagent code.
Like the meter itself, this is a low range freshwater and source water test. It will not read saltwater or reef tank water, which sits far above the 350 ppm top of the range.
Storage and Shelf Life
- Hanna marks these reagents freeze sensitive, so keep them above freezing
- Store in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight, caps closed
- Check the printed expiration date before testing. Reagent past date can read low or develop color slowly
- Hanna classes these reagents as hazardous to ship, so they travel ground only

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this freshwater or saltwater?
Freshwater, plus the tap, well or RO water going into any tank. Saltwater reads above the meter's range.
How many tests do I get?
25. The box holds enough of each of the four components to run 25 tests.
Is it just powder packets?
No. There are 25 powder sachets plus three liquid bottles. All four are needed, so keep the box together.
Will these work in another Hanna checker?
No. Each Hanna checker takes its own reagent code. These are HI735 only.
What if it is past the printed date?
Hanna prints the date so you can judge for yourself. Out of date reagent is not dangerous, it loses potency, so results can drift low.
