Hygger 957 Planted Aquarium Light
The hygger 957 Planted Aquarium Light is a full-spectrum WRGB LED system built for freshwater planted tanks and aquascapes. It blends 6500K daylight white with dedicated blue, red, green, and RGB diodes to deepen plant greens and lift fish color, then runs your whole day automatically on a programmable 24-hour cycle. Pair it with our freshwater aquarium plants and plant supplements to build a display that fills in fast.
How It Works
The 957 recreates a natural day over 24 hours, from sunrise through midday to sunset and a soft moonlight, using gradual 15-minute transitions that ease your fish into each change instead of snapping the light on and off. Two modes cover every keeper:
- Auto Cycle: a preset schedule that ramps up in the morning, holds full daylight midday, dims through the evening, and settles into moonlight at night. It runs on by default at 6:30 am and off at 11:30 pm, both adjustable.
- DIY Custom Cycle: set your own on and off times, brightness, and color balance to suit your plants and livestock.
A built-in timer, auto shut-off, and power-loss memory keep your settings even after an outage, so you program it once and leave it running.

PAR runs from about 201 on the 20W model to 420 on the 72W model, measured at the fixture. Higher-wattage models deliver more usable light for taller tanks and demanding stem or carpeting plants.
Which Size Is Right for You?
Match the model to the width your tank measures along the top, where the brackets rest. The brackets extend, so each model spans the range listed above. For low-light plants such as anubias, java fern, and cryptocoryne, any model within its range is plenty. For carpeting plants and high-light stems, or tanks taller than about 18 in., step up a size for extra intensity.

FAQ
Will it grow carpeting plants? The higher-wattage models put out enough PAR for demanding carpets and stems when sized to the tank. For a low-tech setup with easy plants, any model in its range works well.
Is it safe around water? Yes. The sealed aluminum housing is IP68 water-resistant and runs on low-voltage DC power, so splashes and humidity are not a problem.
Does it remember my schedule after a power outage? Yes. The power-loss memory function restores your settings automatically when power returns.
Is this for freshwater or reef tanks? It is designed for freshwater planted tanks. The spectrum is tuned for plant growth and freshwater fish color, not for corals.
