Product description

In-store pickup only.

Smooth stones with brushstroke banding. Ink Painting Stone is a natural aquascaping stone with smooth, rounded, water-worn surfaces and flowing bands of black, tan, rust and grey that look like strokes from an ink brush. The rounded shapes stack and group easily, and the bold patterning makes a strong focal point in a nature-style or river-style layout. Combine it with live plants and a natural substrate like CaribSea Super Naturals Carolina Creek.

Buying Options

  • Per Pound: hand-pick the exact pieces you want in the store. Price is per pound, weighed at the counter.
  • 44 lb Box: a full bag of medium pieces, roughly 4 to 8 in each, at a bulk discount over the per-pound price. Great for larger layouts.

Tips for Use

  • Scrub and rinse each piece before adding it to the aquarium
  • Set larger stones on the bottom glass or on an egg-crate base before adding substrate so they sit stable
  • As with any natural stone, test your water parameters after adding it, especially in soft-water or shrimp tanks

FAQ

How does per-pound pricing work?
Pick out the pieces you like in the store and we weigh them at the counter. You pay the per-pound price for the total weight.

What size are the pieces?
The 44 lb box is medium grade, roughly 4 to 8 in per piece. In-store pieces vary, so come pick the shapes that fit your layout.

Will it change my water chemistry?
We do not have published test data for this stone. Test your water after adding any natural stone, especially for soft-water fish and shrimp.
