Seachem StressGuard
Seachem StressGuard is a premium slime-coat protectant and stress reducer for freshwater and saltwater aquariums. It calms fish and lowers ammonia toxicity during handling, transport, and acclimation, and it binds to exposed protein in wounds to support healing and reduce the risk of infection. Why StressGuard
- Protects the slime coat: reinforces the fish's natural barrier against stress and disease.
- Reduces stress and ammonia toxicity: ideal when moving, bagging, or introducing new fish.
- Supports wound healing: binds to exposed protein in damaged tissue to discourage primary and secondary infection.
- Filter and media friendly: not amine based, so it will not interfere with Purigen or HyperSorb, and it will not coat resins or clog filtration the way some slime-coat products do.
- Medication compatible: safe to use alongside all medications except copper-based treatments.
- Fresh or salt: works in both freshwater and marine systems.
