Dinkins Aquatic Gardens Snacklerock
Dinkins Aquatic Gardens Snacklerock is roughly two pounds of live rock rubble that has been fully cycled with nitrifying bacteria and seeded with live copepods. Each jar ships completely covered in water, with extra copepods added at packing, so you are getting instant biological filtration, surface area, and a living pod population in one product.

What Snacklerock Adds
Snacklerock is aquacultured and pest-free. It starts as clean, dry Marco Rocks rubble that is submerged in an isolated, fishless system for at least three months, fed only saltwater, Fritz TurboStart 900, live phytoplankton, live copepods, and trace ammonium chloride. The result is rubble packed with beneficial bacteria and microfauna, with none of the aiptasia, vermetids, or other hitchhikers that can ride in on wild-collected rock.
- Live nitrifying bacteria for instant biological filtration
- Seeded with live copepods that breed and spread
- Huge surface area to boost your tank's carrying capacity
- Aquacultured and pest-free, no unwanted hitchhikers
How to Add It
Nestle the rubble into your display rockwork, drop it in the sump, or tuck it into a refugium. Anywhere with flow works, since the goal is to spread its bacteria and pods through the system. Because it is already cycled, Snacklerock is a great way to jump-start a new tank or add carrying capacity and biodiversity to an established one.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Snacklerock already cycled?
Yes. It is cured and cycled with nitrifying bacteria before it leaves us, which is why it ships submerged in water. Keep it wet and get it into your system promptly.
Will it cause an ammonia spike?
Handled properly it should not, since the bacteria are already established. Move it quickly from jar to tank and avoid letting it sit dry or warm.
Is it really pest-free?
It is aquacultured in isolated, fishless systems specifically to avoid hitchhikers. As always, a quick inspection before adding is smart practice.
Can I use it to start a new tank?
Absolutely. Cycled live rubble seeded with bacteria and pods is one of the fastest ways to establish biological filtration and microfauna in a fresh setup.
