How to Rehydrate

1. Place the compressed brick in a clean bucket or large container.
2. Add about 4 quarts (4 liters) of warm water.
3. Let it soak for 20 to 30 minutes until fully expanded.
4. Fluff and break apart the substrate, then spread it in your terrarium 2 to 3 inches deep, deeper for burrowing species.
5. Mist as needed to keep the bedding lightly moist, never soggy.

One 8 qt brick fills most small to medium terrariums. Larger or heavily planted enclosures may use two or more.
