Fluval AC70/110 Clear-Carb Insert 2 pack
The Fluval AquaClear Clear-Carb Insert is a dual-action filter media that keeps aquarium water clean and crystal clear. Each insert combines premium activated carbon, which removes odors, discoloration, and dissolved toxins, with ClearMax, a resin that pulls out phosphate, nitrite, and nitrate. This convenient 2-pack is sized for the AquaClear 70 and 110 filters and works in both freshwater and saltwater aquariums.
Drop a fresh insert into your AquaClear (AC) power filter whenever the old one is spent. Running a smaller filter? Choose the AC50 Clear-Carb instead. Find more replacement media in our Filter Media & Cartridges collection.

How to Use
Rinse the insert under running water, then place it in the media basket of your AquaClear 70 or 110 filter, ideally after the foam and before the biological media. Replace it about every 3 to 4 weeks, or sooner if you are clearing up an odor, discoloration, or phosphate problem, since the carbon and resin become exhausted with use.

FAQ
What does Clear-Carb do? It combines activated carbon and ClearMax resin, so one insert removes odors, discoloration, and toxins while also pulling out phosphate, nitrite, and nitrate for clearer water.
How often should I replace it? Every 3 to 4 weeks on average. Carbon and resin have a finite capacity, so swapping on schedule keeps them working.
Which filters does it fit? The AquaClear 70 and 110 (Fluval AC70 and AC110). For the AC50, choose the smaller Clear-Carb.
Can I use it in saltwater? Yes. Clear-Carb works in both freshwater and marine aquariums.
