Hikari Arch with Coral Resin Ornament
A sculpted rock arch with coral detail, and a real swim-through underneath. The piece is moulded to look like a weathered reef ledge: grey rock with green algae tones, orange cup corals clustered on the span, a tan plate coral on one leg, and small red and green plants worked into the stone. The opening is wide enough for fish to pass through rather than just look at. Browse more freshwater and saltwater supplies.
Features
- An arch, not a solid rock: fish actually swim under it, which is what makes decor get used
- Hikari makes the resin ornament line from non-toxic resin and rates it for saltwater, freshwater and betta tanks of any size
- Wipes clean, so algae on the stonework is not a permanent problem
- Sculpted coral and plant detail is part of the casting, so there is nothing to come loose
Mind the Size
This one is listed in the trade as the "3.9 inch" arch, which is its height. The full piece is 6.69 in long by 3.35 in deep by 3.94 in tall. It reads as a nano or small-tank centerpiece, or as a mid-ground feature in something larger. If you pictured a 3.9 in long ornament, it is bigger than that.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it safe in a reef tank?
Hikari makes the line from non-toxic resin and rates it for saltwater as well as freshwater. It is decor, not live rock, so it will not seed bacteria the way rock does.
How big is the opening?
The arch stands 3.94 in tall overall, so the swim-through is smaller than that once you allow for the thickness of the span. Fine for small community fish, not a cave for a large cichlid.
Will the colors fade?
Resin ornaments hold their color far better than painted ceramic, but anything in a brightly lit tank will soften over years. Algae growth is the more common complaint, and that wipes off.
Do I need to rinse it first?
Yes. Rinse any new decor in fresh water before it goes in, the same as you would with substrate or rock.
Is it the same as your Reef Arch ornament?
No. That is Hikari #96218, a different and larger piece. This is #96212.
