Product description

A daily floating pellet built just for bettas. Hikari Betta Bio-Gold is a scientifically developed diet that Kyorin created after years of studying the finicky eating habits and nutritional needs of the betta (Betta splendens). The small, perfectly sized floating pellets hold their shape at the surface where bettas like to feed, so your fish gets a complete, color boosting meal with very little waste.

Why Betta Bio-Gold

  • Premium select fish meal as the primary protein source, matched to a betta's meat-first appetite.
  • Astaxanthin and Spirulina to bring out deep reds, blues, and the full range of your betta's color.
  • Garlic flavor attractant that wins over even fussy bettas and speeds up acceptance of a new food.
  • Floating pellet that stays at the surface, matching how bettas naturally feed and making it easy to see how much they eat.
  • High nutrient density, so a few small pellets deliver a full day's nutrition.

How to Feed

Feed 5 to 10 pellets up to 3 times a day, adjusting to the size of your betta. Offer only what your fish eats in a couple of minutes and remove anything left over to keep the water clean. Bettas are cautious about new foods, so if yours ignores the pellets at first, keep offering them. It can take up to 5 days for a betta to fully accept a new diet.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can this be my betta's everyday food?
Yes. Betta Bio-Gold is formulated as a complete daily diet, so it can serve as your betta's main food.

My betta ignores it. What should I do?
That is normal for a new food. Bettas are cautious eaters, and it can take up to 5 days for one to accept a new pellet. Keep offering a few pellets and remove any that go uneaten.

How many pellets should I feed?
5 to 10 pellets up to 3 times daily, sized to your fish. Feed only what it finishes in a couple of minutes to avoid overfeeding and cloudy water.

Will it really improve my betta's color?
Yes. The astaxanthin and spirulina are natural color enhancers that deepen reds and bring out your betta's full coloration with regular feeding.
