Which length should I buy?
Measure the cable run from device to device with realistic slack. Most stand-mounted setups need a 3 ft or 6 ft for the controller-to-XP8 hop, plus a 1 ft jumper for adjacent modules. Use 14 ft only when you truly need the reach.

Does this carry power?
Yes. This is the standard data + power Command Bus cable. Downstream devices on the chain will draw their 12V supply through this cable, so no extra wall adapters are needed for most accessories.

Can I chain multiple cables together?
You can daisy-chain HYDROS devices, but the total power-carrying chain should stay within ~14 ft. Beyond that, switch to a HYDROS data-only cable for the long segment.
