Vitalis Marine Pellets 1mm
Vitalis Marine Pellets 1mm are the everyday staple for a saltwater community tank. Whole fish meal, squid, shrimp and mussel give the protein, the pellet is cold-extruded so it stays soft and sinks slowly, and it holds together in the water column long enough for wrasses, chromis and clownfish to pick every piece off before it reaches the sand. Rotate with Vitalis Algae Pellets for a rounded diet, or add Vitalis Marine Flakes for surface feeders. Browse all saltwater dry foods.
Features
- 1mm soft pellet sized for small and medium marine fish mouths
- Slow sinking so midwater fish feed naturally instead of gulping at the surface
- Water stable up to 24 hours with low nutrient leaching, so less waste in the sump
- Made at low temperature to keep vitamins intact, no artificial colors
- 140g resealable pot, made in the UK by World Feeds
Who it is for
Clownfish, wrasses, chromis and damsels, gobies and blennies, anthias, dwarf angels, hawkfish, cardinals and other community saltwater fish. Herbivores such as tangs do better on the algae or grazing pellets as their main food.
Feeding Guide
Feed a small pinch once or twice a day, only what is eaten in two to three minutes. Fish with fuller bellies from a soft pellet eat less than they would of a dry, puffed food, so start light. Keep wet fingers out of the pot and seal it after use.

FAQ
Will it cloud the water? No. The pellet is bound to leach very little, which is why it can sit in the tank for hours without fouling it.
Is 1mm too small for my larger fish? It suits fish up to about 4 inches. Larger angels, triggers and puffers do better on a 4mm or 6mm pellet, ask us to bring one in.
Can I feed it to tangs? They will eat it, but tangs need a mostly algae diet. Use it as a treat and make Algae Pellets or Grazing Pellets the staple.
