On Tuesday, June 30, we are giving the whole shop a calmer day. Dimmed lights, lower sound, and a slower pace, for anyone who simply enjoys a quieter visit. It is our first full sensory day, and everyone is welcome.

This one is personal for us. We know how it feels when the world runs too loud, too bright, and too fast, and we know how much one calmer place can change a whole day. There is a reason people sit and watch fish to unwind. The slow drift, the soft glow of the water, the quiet. For one day we are leaning all the way into that.

What The Day Looks Like

From open to close on June 30, the shop will be set up to feel softer and calmer. Here is what to expect:

• Dimmed, softer lighting, with the tanks left glowing gently.
• Lower sound. Music turned down low or off, and a quieter room overall.
• Fewer announcements and fewer sudden, loud noises.
• A slower pace, with no pressure to hurry or to buy anything.
• A wall of aquariums to sit with and watch for as long as you like.
• Staff who understand and are glad to help at whatever pace works for you.

You Belong Here

However you move through the world, you are welcome at Squeaky's exactly as you are. Chat our ears off or stay quiet. Walk every aisle or settle in front of one tank. Come for five minutes or stay all afternoon. There is no version of you we are hoping for instead. We are just glad you came.

We are a small, family run shop, and the folks behind the counter genuinely want you to feel at ease here. If you ever need a moment, a quieter corner, or a little more room, just say the word. We love this stuff, and we would be glad to show you, one calm step at a time.

No question is too small, nothing is on a clock, and you never have to buy a thing. Come learn at whatever pace feels right, and leave knowing a little more than when you walked in. Come curious, stay as long as you like, and know that you belong here. Always.
