How to Use It

Wet the suction cups and press the basket to the inside glass, usually just below the waterline where you can reach it easily. Thaw a cube of frozen bloodworms or frozen mysis in a little tank water, pour it into the basket, and let the fish come to it. Rinse live blackworms first, then drop a pinch in and they will stay put rather than burrowing into the gravel.

For flake, pellet, or a gel food like Repashy Community Plus, lift the basket out and use the frame alone as a feeding ring so floating food stays in one corner instead of drifting into the overflow.

Care and Cleaning

This part is 3D printed from PLA, which is heat sensitive. Clean it in cool tap water and air dry or towel dry it. Keep it out of the dishwasher, the microwave, hot water, and direct sunlight, since heat will warp it. Treated gently it lasts for years.

FAQ

Why is this in-store only?
Aquarium Co-Op products are sold exclusively in person at our shop. Come by and grab one off the shelf, we always keep their gear stocked.

Will the suction cups hold long term?
Yes, as long as the glass is clean where they mount. Wipe algae off the spot first and give the cups a good press. If one lets go, a quick clean and a re-wet is usually all it needs.

Can I use it in a saltwater tank?
Yes. The PLA and the suction cups are fine in marine water, and it works well for target feeding frozen mysis to reef fish.

Does the basket really come out?
It does. The basket lifts out of the rim, and the rim on its own becomes a feeding ring for flake and floating pellet.

What size tank does it fit?
The basket is 2.7 inches wide and 1.9 inches tall, so it suits everything from a 10 gallon up. In very small nanos it takes up some visual space, but it still mounts fine.

Do I need to remove it between feedings?
No. Most people leave it mounted. Give it a rinse in cool water when leftovers build up.
