How It Works

Place the sensor inside any protein skimmer collection cup with walls up to 1/4 inch thick. A magnetic coupling sits on the outside of the cup to hold the sensor securely in place, with no new lid or modification required. When the waste level rises enough to reach the sensor, it tells HYDROS to switch the skimmer off before it can overflow.

Yes. The sensor plugs into a HYDROS Control Sense Port for power, and your skimmer must be plugged into a HYDROS power source (like the WiFi Power Strip or Smart Plug) so HYDROS can switch it off. Both are sold separately.
