Seachem Flourish Iron
Seachem Flourish Iron is a highly concentrated ferrous iron supplement for the planted aquarium. Plants use iron to produce chlorophyll, so a shortage shows up first as chlorosis, the yellowing of new and young leaves. Flourish Iron delivers iron in the readily absorbed ferrous form, ideal for heavily planted tanks and red plants that demand extra iron. Why Seachem Flourish Iron
How to Use
Shake well before use. Add 5 mL (one capful) to every 200 liters (about 50 US gallons) twice a week, or dose as needed in response to signs of iron deficiency. Heavily planted or red-plant tanks may benefit from more frequent dosing. For best results, use as part of a complete fertilizer routine.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know my plants need iron?
The classic sign is chlorosis: new and young leaves turn pale or yellow while the veins may stay green. Stems can also look short and slender.
Why ferrous iron instead of ferric?
Ferrous iron stays soluble at typical aquarium pH, so plants can absorb it through their leaves. Ferric iron tends to precipitate out above pH 5.5.
Will it cause algae?
Dosed as directed, Flourish Iron targets plant uptake. As with any nutrient, avoid heavy overdosing and keep your tank balanced.
Is it safe for fish and shrimp?
Yes, when used at the recommended dose it is safe for fish and invertebrates in the planted freshwater aquarium.
