SFBB Emerald Entrée Cube 3.5oz
SFBB Frozen Emerald Entrée is a nutritious omnivore formula that blends spirulina, mysis shrimp, and fish oil into one balanced frozen food. The spirulina gives it a rich emerald color and the plant nutrition that grazing fish crave, while the mysis shrimp and fish oil add the protein and healthy fats that keep fish growing and colorful. It is ideal for the many fresh and saltwater fish that do best on a mix of veggie and meaty foods, from tangs and mollies to angelfish and cichlids. Each 3.5 oz box holds 30 pre-portioned cubes.
Pair it with other frozen favorites like SFBB Frozen Mysis Shrimp and SFBB Frozen Plankton, or browse all of our frozen and prepared foods.
Why Emerald Entrée
- Balanced omnivore diet. One food covers both sides of an omnivore's needs, plant matter from spirulina plus protein from mysis shrimp.
- Color and vitality. Spirulina is loaded with natural pigments that enhance color, and the added fish oil supplies the omega-rich fats fish need to thrive.
- Great for grazers. Tangs, mollies, angelfish, cichlids, and many community fish that pick at algae will happily take these cubes.
- Clean, portioned cubes. Individually frozen cubes mean no scooping, no waste, and easy control over how much you feed.
- Safely processed. San Francisco Bay Brand freezes its blends to help reduce the parasites and bacteria that can come with live food.
How to feed
Pop one cube into a small cup of tank water and let it thaw for a minute or two, then pour it into the aquarium or target-feed with a pipette or turkey baster. Feed once or twice a day in amounts your fish finish in a couple of minutes, and net out anything left over. Do not microwave the cube and do not refreeze a thawed one.

FAQ
What kind of fish is this for?
Omnivores in both fresh and saltwater, the many fish that eat a mix of algae and meaty foods. Tangs, mollies, angelfish, and cichlids are good examples.
Does it help with color?
Yes. The spirulina in the blend is rich in natural pigments that support bright, healthy color when fed regularly.
Can I use it as a staple food?
It works well as a main food for omnivores thanks to its mix of plant and protein ingredients. Rotating in other frozen foods keeps the diet varied.
How long does a box last?
Kept solidly frozen, the cubes stay good for months. Just avoid thaw-and-refreeze cycles, which break down the food and can foul your water.
