Vitalis Tropical Grazing Pellets 8mm are a large, soft algae pellet for the fish that eat by rasping rather than gulping: plecos, otocinclus, hillstream loaches, garra, flagfish and the snails and shrimp that follow them. The pellet softens in the water and holds its shape for hours, so a shy nocturnal grazer finds it intact long after lights out. Feeding Guide

Drop one pellet in after lights out for nocturnal plecos, or clip it in a grazing station during the day for otos and loaches. Remove what is left after eight hours or so. A tank with a real algae eater population can take one pellet a day; a single bristlenose needs one every two or three days.

FAQ

Is this the same as Plec Pellets? No. Plec Pellets are a daily sinking pellet; Grazing Pellets are a larger, slower pellet meant to be worked at over hours.

Will my shrimp and snails eat it? Yes, and it is a good way to feed them without scattering powder through the tank.

Can I leave it in overnight? Yes. It is stable for 24 hours. Pull the remains in the morning.
