Why a Betta Resting Plant?

• Bettas are surface-resting fish. In the wild, they drape themselves across broad leaves near the water's surface to rest and breathe air. Adding a leaf plant reduces stress and encourages natural behavior.
• Fin-safe soft plastic material won't shred long-finned bettas like cheap stiff plastic plants can.
• Suction cup mount lets you place the leaf at any height — near the surface for resting, mid-water for hiding, or low to break up sight lines.

How to Set Up

• Rinse the plant under fresh dechlorinated water before placing in the tank.
• Wet the suction cup and press firmly against clean aquarium glass to attach.
• Position the leaf 2–4 inches below the water surface for an ideal resting perch.
• Reposition anytime by re-wetting the suction cup if it loses grip over time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it safe for long-finned bettas?
Yes — the soft plastic material is the whole point. Soft enough that it won't snag or tear flowing veil-tail, halfmoon, or rosetail fins the way stiff plastic plants can.

Will the suction cup stay attached?
Wet it before pressing onto clean glass and it should hold for weeks at a time. If it loosens, just pop it off, re-wet, and re-press.

Can I use this in a planted tank?
Absolutely — the broad leaf surface is useful even alongside live plants because few aquatic plants naturally provide a horizontal surface near the waterline for a betta to rest on.

Does it work in saltwater?
It's designed for freshwater betta setups. Most fish don't need a surface-resting plant the way bettas do, so we don't recommend it for saltwater applications.
