Aquarium Co-Op Clear Vinyl Tubing is a 12 foot length of food grade PVC hose in the 5/8 inch inside diameter most canister filters, water change systems and pumps are plumbed for. It is clear, so you can see flow and spot a clog without pulling anything apart.
Built to Resist Kinks
Two decisions here are worth knowing about. The walls are deliberately a little thicker than usual, which is what keeps the tubing from collapsing on a bend. And it is not packaged with zip ties or wire, which is how most tubing picks up the permanent kinks you fight for the rest of its life. It ships coiled in a resealable bag instead, so the offcut you do not use stays clean and pliable until the next project.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will it fit my filter?
5/8 inch ID is the common size for canister filter intake and output lines and for most water change hoses. Measure the barb or fitting you are sliding it over, and bring the measurement in if you are not sure.
Is 12 feet enough?
For a canister sitting in the cabinet under the tank, comfortably. Twelve feet also leaves enough to cut a spare length rather than replacing the whole run when one end wears.
How do I soften it to fit a tight barb?
Dip the end in hot tap water for a minute. It will slide on far more easily and shrink back as it cools.
Can I use it for saltwater?
Yes. Food grade PVC is fine for both freshwater and marine systems.
