Aquatop Ascension 9 All-In-One Aquarium Kit

Special order, in-store pickup only. We bring this in for you on about a 7 day lead time and call you when it lands. It is collected in store, not shipped.

The Aquatop Ascension 9 is a 9 gallon all-in-one with a front pane that slopes outward instead of standing upright. It is an unusual shape for a desktop tank and it does something useful: the angled glass throws the aquascape forward and gives you a viewing perspective you do not get from a box. Behind it, an integrated rear chamber hides the pump and filtration completely. Browse our other aquariums.

Features

• Angled front glass. The sloping front panel is the whole point of this tank. It reads very differently from a standard rimless cube and makes a small scape look larger.
• Integrated rear filtration. Pump and media live behind the display, so nothing hangs on the back glass and nothing sits in the tank where you can see it.
• Cylindro polishing sleeve included. A high-precision mechanical filter sleeve that catches fine suspended particles, which is what actually makes water look clear rather than merely clean.
• Room to customise. The rear chamber takes additional biological, chemical and specialty media, so the filtration can grow with the tank rather than being fixed at what shipped in the box.
• Complete system. Tank, rear filtration with Cylindro pre-filter, NP-80 80 GPH return pump, NLL-01 5W clamp-on LED and the polishing sleeve all included.

What It Suits

Aquatop pitch it at planted freshwater displays, betta habitats, nano aquascapes and small tropical communities, in home offices, on desktops and in apartments. It is approachable enough for a first tank and interesting enough that an experienced keeper will still want to scape it.

Replacement Media

Aquatop make two consumables for it: the ASC09-RFC replacement filter cartridge and the ASC09-RFP replacement filter pads in a 6 pack. We can order either in with the tank or on their own.

Pairs With

• Aquatop AquaFin desktop kits if you prefer a long, low panoramic shape
• Moss Ball Safe House and the Bonsai Tree ornaments
• Live plants and water care

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the special order work?
We order it in for you on roughly a 7 day lead time and ring you when it arrives. Payment is taken at order, collection is in store.

Does it include a heater?
No. Add one sized to the tank if you are keeping tropicals, and we will pick it out with you.

Is it good for a betta?
Aquatop list betta habitats specifically. Nine gallons is generous for one, and the rear filtration keeps the front of the tank calm.

Can I add more filter media?
Yes. The rear chamber is built to take extra biological, chemical or specialty media beyond what ships with it.

Is it saltwater capable?
Aquatop list it for freshwater. We would not recommend it for a reef.
