What Each Media Does
- Fine white filter pads, 3-pack. Aquatop says these mechanically remove organic particles, foreign debris and excess food, and they are pre-cut to fit the canister. Suitable for freshwater and saltwater.
- Coarse blue filter pad, single. The coarse pad does the same mechanical job on larger debris, and is also pre-cut and suitable for freshwater and saltwater.
- Carbon cartridge. Aquatop describes it as a replacement carbon insert for the Forza series canister filter, with high quality carbon for maximum effectiveness and an outer layer of strong poly fiber that mechanically filters out large dirt and debris.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do these fit my FZ13?
No. These are the FZ7 UV and FZ9 UV parts. Aquatop builds separate media for the FZ13.
Can I use them in a saltwater tank?
Yes. Aquatop lists the filter pads as suitable for freshwater and saltwater.
How often should I change them?
Aquatop does not publish a schedule. In practice, rinse mechanical pads in old tank water at water changes and replace them once they stay matted or fall apart, and swap carbon on a monthly routine since it stops adsorbing long before it looks dirty.
Should I change everything at once?
Better not to. Replacing all of the media in one go removes a lot of the bacteria living in your filter, so stagger the pads and the carbon across separate weeks.
