Product description

ATI Absolute Ocean is seawater in a bottle: a two-part liquid concentrate, 8.3 times the strength of natural seawater, made from pharmaceutically and analytically pure salts and tuned by ICP measurement so even trace elements in the parts-per-billion range sit at natural levels. Pour RO/DI water into a bucket, add part 1 and part 2, and the water is clear and ready the moment it stops swirling. No mixing time, no undissolved dust, and no settling of elements the way dry salt can separate in a bucket. Compare it with our reef salt mixes, including the German NYOS PURE Salt Mix from the same distributor.

Why Absolute Ocean

  • Instant saltwater. Dilute and use. Ideal for nano reefs, quarantine tanks, emergency water changes and anyone without room for a mixing station.
  • Natural chemistry. Major and trace elements match natural seawater, verified by ICP analysis, with nitrate under 0.1 mg/L.
  • Perfectly even. A liquid cannot stratify, so the first liter and the last liter of the bottle are identical.
  • Pharmaceutical purity. Free of the impurities that ride along in mined salt.
  • Unlimited shelf life when stored above 10 °C (50 °F).

How to Mix

Use RO/DI water with a conductivity under 5 µS/cm at room temperature. Pour the RO/DI water into a clean container first, add Absolute Ocean part 1 and part 2, stir, and use as soon as it is clear.

FAQ

Do I have to wait after mixing?
No. Once the concentrate is stirred into the RO/DI water and the water is clear, it is ready for the tank. Match the temperature first.

Why two bottles?
Some elements cannot sit together at 8.3 times seawater strength without reacting, so they are split into part 1 and part 2 and only meet in your bucket.

Can I mix it stronger or weaker?
Yes. Scale both parts equally with the water. The table above is for 35 PSU; check with a refractometer.

What if the bottle has crystals?
Part 1 can crystallize below 10 °C. Warm it in a water bath to about 45 °C until clear and use as normal.

Why pickup only?
These are heavy liquid sets, so we hold them for in-store pickup.
