NYOS PURE Salt Mix
NYOS PURE Salt Mix is a pharmaceutical-grade reef salt from Germany, built from highly refined sodium chloride and ultra-pure calcium and magnesium compounds so it mixes crystal clear with no residue and is ready to use in about five minutes. Every batch is ICP-tested and documented, with the key values printed on the package and the full analysis a QR scan away. NYOS runs the same salt on its own coral systems. How to Mix
Use about 40 g of salt per liter of RO/DI water, roughly 1.3 lb per 4 gallons, for 35 ppt. Add the salt to the water, not the water to the salt, with a pump or airstone running, and give it around five minutes until it runs clear. Check salinity with a refractometer, match the temperature to the tank, and it is ready to go in. Keep the box or bucket sealed between uses so the mix stays dry and even.

FAQ
How much water does a box make?
At 40 g per liter, the 10 kg box makes about 250 L (66 gallons) and either 20 kg package makes about 500 L (132 gallons) at 35 ppt.
Box or bucket?
Same salt. The bucket is resealable and easier to scoop from; the box costs a little less and takes less room to store.
Can I use it right after mixing?
Yes. It dissolves in about five minutes and is meant to be used once it runs clear and matches tank temperature.
Is it good for fish-only tanks?
Yes. The reef-level alkalinity and calcium do no harm in a fish-only system, and the purity helps keep nuisance algae down.
Why pickup only?
Salt is heavy and boxes do not travel well, so we hold it for in-store pickup.
