ATI ICP Element Copper - 150 mL
ATI ICP Element Copper is a high-purity, single-element copper solution for precisely adjusting copper levels in reef aquariums. It is part of ATI's revised ICP Elements line, developed and tested in the ATI Lab in Germany, and ATI designs it both for correcting an acute deficiency and for maintaining the daily supply. Why copper matters
- Enzyme cofactor: Copper is a cofactor in several enzymes, including pathways for iron use in fish and parts of calcium metabolism.
- Precise balancing: In a reef, copper should only be present at extremely low, detectable levels. The line between deficiency and toxicity is thin, which is why a high-purity solution matters.
- When to dose: Low copper is normal in reef tanks. ATI recommends dosing only when an ICP analysis shows it has fallen below the needed level.

- Standard dose: 1 mL per 100 L (26 gal) raises copper by 1 µg/L
- Safe daily limit: raise copper by no more than 0.5 µg/L per day (0.5 mL per 100 L)
- Dose to a current ICP analysis and correct only a measured deficiency, then retest
- Always use ICP testing to determine the exact requirement before dosing copper.
