ATI ICP Element Magnesium - 1000 mL

ATI ICP Element Magnesium is a high-purity, single-element magnesium solution for precisely adjusting magnesium levels in reef aquariums. Why magnesium matters

• Chemical stability: Magnesium lets high calcium and carbonate levels coexist; when it is low, calcium and alkalinity can precipitate and become hard to hold steady.
• Skeletal growth: Essential for stony coral growth; without it growth slows and skeletons can become brittle.
• Algae: A core part of chlorophyll and needed for coralline algae growth.
• Soft corals and mollusks: Low levels can cause soft corals to decline and affect shell growth in snails and other mollusks.

Common causes of a deficiency (per ATI): heavy uptake by calcifiers (SPS and coralline algae), precipitation from a chemical imbalance, or salt mixes with too little magnesium.

• Contents: one bottle holds 100,000 mg of magnesium
• Standard dose: 1 mL per 100 L (26 gal) raises magnesium by 1 mg/L
• Safe daily limit: raise magnesium by no more than 100 mg/L per day (100 mL per 100 L)
• Dose to a current ICP analysis and correct only a measured deficiency, then retest
