ATI ICP Element Sulfur - 500 g

ATI ICP Element Sulfur is a high-purity, single-element sulfur powder for precisely adjusting sulfur levels in reef aquariums. Why sulfur matters

• Amino acids: Sulfur is a building block of the amino acids cysteine and methionine, which corals use to build proteins for growth and repair.
• Structural support: A deficiency weakens supporting structures, most visibly in soft corals and gorgonians that can no longer stand upright or expand fully.
• Metabolism: Keeps enzyme processes for nutrient uptake and energy transfer working properly.

Common causes of a deficiency (per ATI): most often two-part dosing systems that lack sulfur ion balance, and salt mixes that can't keep up with high-demand systems.

Dosing

• Contents: one jar holds 112,500 mg of sulfur
• Standard dose: 1 g per 100 L (26 gal) raises sulfur by 2.25 mg/L
• Safe daily limit: raise sulfur by no more than 100 mg/L per day (44.5 g per 100 L)
• Dose to a current ICP analysis and correct only a measured deficiency, then retest
• This is a powder. A level measuring spoon holds about 22.5 g, which raises sulfur by about 50 mg/L in 100 L.
