ATI ICP Element Vanadium - 150 mL
ATI ICP Element Vanadium is a high-purity, single-element vanadium solution for precisely adjusting vanadium levels in reef aquariums. It is part of ATI's revised ICP Elements line, developed and tested in the ATI Lab in Germany, and ATI designs it both for correcting an acute deficiency and for maintaining the daily supply. Why vanadium matters
- Coloration: Vanadium is linked to coral pigment intensity; a deficiency often gives pale, washed-out stony corals.
- Sponge growth: Many marine sponges use vanadium, and low levels can stall their growth.
- Enzyme cofactor: Acts as a cofactor in several enzyme reactions.
Common causes of a deficiency (per ATI): removal by aggressive skimming, activated carbon and other adsorbers, fast use during strong stony coral growth, or low levels in salt mixes.
Dosing
- Contents: one bottle holds 75,000 µg of vanadium
- Standard dose: 1 mL per 100 L (26 gal) raises vanadium by 5 µg/L
- Safe daily limit: raise vanadium by no more than 1.5 µg/L per day (0.3 mL per 100 L)
- Dose to a current ICP analysis and correct only a measured deficiency, then retest
