Brightwell Aquatics Polyp Ignite
Ignite polyp extension, feeding response, and color. Brightwell Aquatics Polyp Ignite is a reef coral food that delivers bioavailable amino acids, fatty acids, and natural pigments, including astaxanthin, chlorophyll, and phycocyanin, that photosynthetic corals use for energy and vivid coloration. Target feed your prized colonies or broadcast it across the whole reef to bring corals out and on the hunt. Grow out the frags you feed with cultured coral frags, or browse all corals.
Why Corals Love It
- Bioavailable amino acids and fatty acids fuel growth and tissue health
- Natural pigments (astaxanthin, chlorophyll, phycocyanin) deepen coral color
- Triggers strong polyp extension and an active feeding response
- Feeds LPS, SPS, soft corals, zoanthids, and other filter feeders
- Target feed prized pieces or broadcast for the whole system
How to Dose
- Shake well before use
- Target feeding: mix 1 to 5 ml in a cup of tank water and gently discharge 2 to 4 inches upstream of corals with a pipette or syringe
- Broadcast feeding: add 1 ml per 50 gallons daily in an area of strong flow, up to a maximum of 5 ml per 50 gallons daily for the first few weeks
- Turn off the protein skimmer and other mechanical filtration for 10 to 15 minutes, and wait at least 1 minute before adding other foods

Frequently Asked Questions
Which corals is it for?
All photosynthetic and filter-feeding corals benefit, including LPS, SPS, soft corals, zoanthids, and non-photosynthetic corals that accept broadcast feeding.
Do I need to turn off my skimmer?
Yes. Turn off the skimmer and mechanical filtration for 10 to 15 minutes so corals can capture the food before it is removed.
How often should I dose?
Daily or a few times a week works well. Start at the low end and increase gradually as your corals respond.
Will it cloud my water?
Target feeding keeps it localized with little to no cloudiness. When broadcasting, dose in an area of strong flow for even distribution.
