Fritz Bug Out Pro | Iodine-Free Herbal Coral Dip for Reef Pest Removal
Fritz Bug Out Pro is an all-natural, iodine-free herbal coral dip from Fritz Aquatics that removes parasites and pests from corals before they enter your display. Whether you're quarantining a fresh frag or troubleshooting an existing infestation, a quick dip in Bug Out Pro knocks loose Acropora-eating flatworms (AEFW), planaria, Zoanthid-eating nudibranchs, Montipora-eating nudibranchs, and pest crabs — without iodine that can stress sensitive corals. Browse our other Fritz reef products and saltwater supplies.
How It Works
Mix Bug Out Pro into a small container of tank water at the recommended ratio, then submerge the coral for 10–15 minutes with gentle agitation (a turkey baster works great). The herbal compounds irritate parasites and pests off the coral; rinse the coral in clean saltwater afterward before placing it in your display. Always discard the used dip water — never return it to your system.

Which Size Is Right for You?
2 mL Single Shot — Best for the casual reefer who picks up frags occasionally. Use it once, toss the vial. No commitment.
4 oz Multi-Use Bottle — The smart pick if you swap frags regularly, run a quarantine system, or already have an infestation to clear from existing colonies. Much better cost-per-dip than buying single shots over time.

FAQ
How do I use it?
Mix 2 mL per gallon of tank water in a separate container. Submerge the coral for 10–15 minutes with gentle agitation (a turkey baster works well to dislodge pests). Rinse the coral in clean saltwater before placing it in your display. Discard the used dip water.
Is it safe for all corals?
Yes — Bug Out Pro is iodine-free and safe for SPS, LPS, soft corals, zoas, mushrooms, and anemones. As with any dip, keep dip times short and watch for excessive slime; rinse and shorten the next dip if a coral reacts strongly.
What pests does it remove?
Acropora-eating flatworms (AEFW), planaria flatworms, Zoanthid-eating nudibranchs, Montipora-eating nudibranchs, and some pest crabs. It's also effective preventive treatment when introducing new frags.
Can I add it directly to my display tank?
No — Bug Out Pro is a dip-only treatment. Always use it in a separate container of tank water, then rinse and add the coral to your display.
How often should I dip new corals?
We recommend dipping every incoming frag once before adding to your tank, and again 7–10 days later in a QT system if you want to catch any eggs that hatched after the first dip.
