The Current USA Serene 13 pairs a modern rimless aquarium of ultra-clear, low-iron glass with the SereneSun RGB+W LED light and its 24-hour wireless remote control. At 18 inches wide with an extra-deep 14-inch footprint, it fits desktops, countertops and small furniture while leaving plenty of room to aquascape. It is a beginner-friendly freshwater setup for a betta, a small community of nano fish, shrimp or a planted scape. Finish it out with our freshwater supplies and live aquarium plants.

Why the Serene 13

• Ultra-clear 6 mm glass. Low-iron glass with polished edges and bezel-less corners gives a crisp, true-color view from every angle.
• Extra-deep footprint. A 14 in front-to-back depth gives you more room to build slopes, layers and focal points.
• Full-spectrum RGB+W LEDs. Sixteen 6500K white LEDs and twenty RGB LEDs behind 120 degree optics put out 1,460 lumens, for traditional freshwater and planted aquariums alike.
• 24-hour wireless control. Run sunrise, daylight, sunset and moonlight on an automatic 24-hour schedule, dial in custom colors and brightness, or play dynamic color fades from the remote.
• Room to grow. The controller also runs Serene background lights and audio sound effects through a speaker, and it works with Current USA's LOOP Bluetooth controller. All three are sold separately.

FAQ

Does the Serene 13 come with a filter or heater?
No. The kit includes the aquarium, the SereneSun LED, the timer controller, the wireless remote and the power supply. Add a filter and heater sized for about 13 gallons, like the Seachem Tidal 35 and the Eheim Jäger TruTemp 50W.

Can I grow live plants under the SereneSun?
Yes. Current USA designed the SereneSun for both traditional freshwater and planted aquariums. It is a great match for easy plants like Anubias, Java fern, mosses and Cryptocoryne.

Can I use it for saltwater?
The glass aquarium can hold saltwater, but the SereneSun is a freshwater light and is not built to grow corals. We sell the Serene 13 as a freshwater system.

Where can I set it up?
It is sized for desktops, countertops and small furniture. Once it is filled with water, substrate and hardscape it weighs well over 100 lb, so set it on a level surface built to carry that weight.
