The Fluval Flex 2.0 is a complete curved-front aquarium kit that tucks every piece of equipment behind honeycomb-print side panels, so your fish and plants take center stage. Each kit arrives ready to run with remote-controlled RGB and white LED lighting, a silent circulation pump, and a hidden 3-stage filtration chamber, so a first-time hobbyist can go from box to aquascape in a single afternoon. Pick the compact 9 gallon (34 L) for a desktop nano or the roomier 15 gallon (57 L) for more swimming space.

Everything you need to get it running is a few aisles away: condition your water with Seachem Prime, warm it with a Marina submersible heater that hides in the built-in heater channel, and set it on a matching aquarium stand. Then stock it from our live plants and fish.

Choose Your Size

Usable swimming volume runs a bit below the maximum once substrate, hardscape, and the rear filter chamber are filled (about 7.5 US gal / 28.5 L in the 9 gallon and 12.4 US gal / 47 L in the 15 gallon).

Getting Started

Rinse the media, add your substrate and hardscape, fill with dechlorinated water, and let the filter and pump cycle the tank before adding livestock. A heater keeps tropical fish and shrimp in their comfort zone, and a water conditioner makes tap water safe from day one. Ask our staff to help you plan stocking that suits the size you choose.

FAQ

Is the Flex 2.0 freshwater or saltwater?
Both. It ships set up for freshwater and planted tanks, but the same glass aquarium and filtration work well for a nano saltwater or reef build. Marine setups usually add a heater and, for corals, a stronger reef light.

Does it come with a heater?
No. The kit includes a dedicated channel to hide one, but the heater is sold separately. A compact submersible heater is an easy add-on for tropical fish and shrimp.

Can I keep live plants?
Yes. The RGB and white LED runs a 6500 to 7000 K spectrum that supports low- to medium-light plants right out of the box.

Do I need a stand?
A filled aquarium is heavy, so set it on furniture rated for the weight or a purpose-built aquarium stand. We carry stands sized for these kits.
