How It Works

Most aquarium "bacteria in a bottle" products focus on nitrifying bacteria that handle ammonia and nitrite. FritzZyme Monster 360 is different. It's a heterotrophic blend, which means the bacteria feed on carbon-rich organic waste rather than nitrogen. They break down the brown gunk that settles in corners, on substrate, and inside filter media, the same gunk that powers algae blooms when it sits there feeding the system.

Dosing

• New setups or heavy sludge buildup: 1 fl oz per 100 gallons, daily for the first week.
• Ongoing maintenance: 1 fl oz per 100 gallons, weekly.
• After a heavy feeding, water change, or new livestock addition: repeat the initial 7-day dose.

Shake well before use. Dose into a high-flow area of the tank. Compatible with standard mechanical, chemical, and biological filtration, including UV sterilizers. Always check the bottle's dosing chart for your exact tank size.

FAQ

Will this replace my regular cycling bacteria?
No. Monster 360 digests organic sludge, not ammonia or nitrite. For a new tank, pair it with FritzZyme 7 or TurboStart 700 to cycle and let Monster 360 keep waste in check.

Is it safe for plants and shrimp?
Yes. At the labeled dose it's safe for live plants and freshwater invertebrates, including neocaridina and amano shrimp. Heterotrophic bacteria can briefly draw down dissolved oxygen as they work, so make sure your tank has solid surface agitation.

Does it work with UV sterilizers?
Yes. Dose into the display tank and let the bacteria settle into the substrate, rock, and filter media before they cycle past the UV chamber.

How long will an 8 oz bottle last?
