How It Works

The Command Bus is a CAN-style communication line that links HYDROS modules together. Without proper termination at each open end of the bus, signals bounce back and create reflections — the digital equivalent of an audio echo. The Terminator presents the correct impedance (a 120 ohm load) so signals end cleanly at the bus boundary. Install one on every unused Command Bus port in your chain.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need this if I only have one HYDROS Control unit?
If both Command Bus ports on a single controller are unused, no — the controller terminates internally. As soon as you add a second HYDROS unit (a second Control, a doser, etc.) and leave any Command Bus port open, the open port needs a terminator.

How many do I need?
One on every unused Command Bus port in your chain. Most multi-controller setups use one or two total.

Will it work on the original HYDROS Control 1?
Yes — it terminates any HYDROS Command Bus connection regardless of controller generation.

Is this needed for the Drive Port or Sense Port?
