Hygger 978 Full Spectrum Aquarium LED Light
The Hygger 978 Aquarium LED Light is a full-spectrum freshwater light with a built-in timer. Run it in the default 24/7 Natural Mode, which fades from a sunrise orange to daylight white to a moonlight blue, or switch to DIY Mode to choose your own color, brightness and on-time. Extendable metal brackets slide out to fit the rim of your tank. Choose the 14W for 12 to 18 inch tanks or the 22W for 24 to 30 inch tanks. Browse our other aquarium lights.
Features
- Full spectrum. 6500K white LEDs combined with RGB LEDs.
- 24/7 Natural Mode. Gradient sunrise, daylight and moonlight colors on a daily schedule (see below).
- DIY Mode. Pick a lighting duration of 6, 10 or 12 hours, one of 7 colors (white, red, blue, green, purple, orange, cyan) and the brightness.
- 5 brightness levels. 10%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%, set with the up and down keys on the inline controller.
- Power-off memory. After a power cut, your mode and other settings stay the same. Only the start time changes, and the default schedule starts at 6 AM.
- Extendable brackets. Adjustable metal brackets mount the light securely on the tank rim.
- Separable adapter and aluminum housing. The AC/DC adapter detaches for easy servicing, and the thickened aluminum housing helps shed heat.
- No extra purchases needed. The power adapter is included.

Setup Tips
- Slide the brackets out to fit your tank and set the light on the rim, adjusting length and angle for even coverage.
- Hygger recommends about 8 to 10 hours of light per day for planted tanks, adjusted for your plants and tank.
- Use lower brightness for low-light plants and raise it, with full white, for demanding plants. Watch for algae and adjust.
- Unplug before cleaning, wipe with a soft dry cloth, and keep the adapter and internal parts away from water.

Which size do I need?
Match it to your tank length: the 14W fits 12 to 18 inch tanks and the 22W fits 24 to 30 inch tanks.
Do I need to buy a power adapter?
No. Hygger includes the AC/DC power adapter.
Will it lose my settings in a power outage?
No. Your mode and settings are kept. Only the start time resets, and the default schedule starts at 6 AM.
Is it good for live plants?
Yes. Hygger designs it as a full-spectrum light for freshwater planted tanks and suggests about 8 to 10 hours of light per day. The 22W is rated for high-light plants in tanks up to 18 to 20 inches deep.
Can I pick a single color?
