Juwel Rio 450 LED Aquarium
The Juwel Rio 450 LED is the biggest tank in the Rio line: 119 gallons (450 liters) on a 151 x 51 cm footprint, 66 cm tall, made in Germany and delivered complete with two 31 W MultiLux LED tubes in the lid, a Bioflow XL internal filter with its Eccoflow 1000 pump, a 300 W AquaHeat Pro heater and a safety base frame. It is the size for big fish, a serious planted layout or a fish-only marine display. What Is Built In
The lid carries the MultiLux LED unit with two replaceable 1200 mm LED tubes, one DAY and one NATURE, 2 x 31 W, bright enough for a densely planted tank at this depth. The Bioflow XL filter sits in the rear corner inside the tank, a quiet internal system with five filter media and the Eccoflow 1000 pump moving about 264 gph (1,000 L/h) at 8 W. The 300 W AquaHeat Pro heater sits inside the filter's water path, out of sight and protected from large fish, with silver contacts, a borosilicate glass body and TÜV and GS certification. The safety base frame spreads the load evenly, so no foam mat or special support is needed on a rated stand.

Which Configuration Is Right for You?
Aquarium Only if you already have a level stand rated for about 600 kg (1,300 lb) filled. Most furniture is not.
Cabinet Only to put an existing Rio 450 on the stand it was designed for, or to replace a damaged one.
Aquarium + Cabinet Set for a new setup. The colors match, the cabinet lines up with the base frame exactly and the load rating is not in question.
Setting It Up
A filled Rio 450 weighs well over half a ton, so place it on a solid floor, ideally across joists near a load-bearing wall, and assemble the cabinet on that spot. Set the tank on it and check level front to back and side to side before adding anything. Rinse substrate, place hardscape, fill with treated water and start the filter and heater together. Seed the filter with bottled bacteria and add livestock slowly over the first weeks.

FAQ
How long does a special order take?
Usually under 7 days. Order online and we will call you when it is at the store, ready to pick up. Bring help and a vehicle that fits a 151 cm crate.
Freshwater or saltwater?
Either. The included light, filter and heater cover a large community or planted tank, a fish-only marine tank or a soft coral reef. Demanding stony corals would want stronger light.
Do I need the Juwel cabinet?
No, but whatever it sits on must carry about 600 kg. The SBX cabinet is rated to 800 kg, matches the trim and hides the hardware.
Can I change the light color?
Yes. The DAY and NATURE tubes are standard Juwel 1200 mm LED tubes and can be swapped for other colors in the Juwel range.
Why pickup only?
A 119 gallon glass aquarium and its cabinet do not survive parcel shipping, so we bring it in for you and hold it at the store.
