Klir Di-4 V2 Drop-In Fleece Filter

The Klir Di-4 V2 Drop-In Fleece Filter ends the filter-sock chore. It drops straight into most 4-inch filter sock chambers and automatically rolls out clean fleece as the old section clogs, pulling suspended waste out of the water and leaving it noticeably clearer. It holds a 25-yard roll of 50-micron fleece and handles up to 750 GPH, so a single roll can run for months instead of days. Pair it with the rest of your filtration setup.

How It Works

Pull the filter sock out of your sump and drop the Klir in its place, no plumbing required. As water passes through and the fleece loads up with waste, the water level in the tray starts to rise. When it reaches the magnet-mounted optical sensor, the motor advances a fresh section of fleece, flow returns to normal, the level drops, and the motor shuts off. That cycle repeats on its own until the roll runs out.

Do I need to re-plumb my sump? No. If your sump has a 4 in. filter sock tray, the Klir drops right into it. Check the four fit requirements above first.

How long does a roll last? Often months rather than days, though it depends on your bioload, how heavily you feed, and your flow rate.

How does it know when to advance? As the fleece clogs, water backs up in the tray. When it touches the magnet-mounted sensor, the motor rolls out clean fleece and then stops.

Freshwater or saltwater? Either. It is mechanical filtration, so it works in any sump that meets the fit requirements, though it is most popular on reef systems.
