NYOS NITRATE MINUS

NYOS NITRATE MINUS promotes the growth of nitrate-reducing bacteria so nitrate can be reduced biologically, down to the detection limit if needed. Phosphate is also reduced slightly as the bacterial film is skimmed off. It has a dual formula with short- and long-term components and contains no toxic methanol.

Dosing

• Standard: 10 mL per 1,000 L (264 gal) daily
• If nitrate is below target: 5 mL per 1,000 L daily, or stop
• If nitrate is far above target or falling too slowly: 20 mL per 1,000 L daily
• NYOS recommends a nitrate level of 5 to 15 mg/L (ppm)
• Dose daily, ideally with a dosing pump
• Test nitrate weekly with the NYOS Nitrate test kit and adjust
