Can I use Genesis to cycle a brand-new saltwater tank?
Yes. Dose 4 drops per 20 gallons daily for the first two weeks while monitoring ammonia and nitrite. Once parameters are stable, transition to the maintenance dose of 1 drop per 5 gallons.

Will my corals eat the bacteria?
Many do. In their planktonic state these dormant bacteria are an excellent food source for SPS, LPS, soft corals, and other filter feeders — one reason reefkeepers dose bacterial blends even on fully-cycled tanks.

Do I need to refrigerate the bottle?
No. The bacteria are dormant and shelf-stable at room temperature. Keep the bottle out of direct sunlight and tightly capped between doses.
