What is the difference between Red Sea Coral Pro and regular Red Sea Salt?
Coral Pro has higher levels of calcium, magnesium, and alkalinity right out of the bucket, making it ideal for tanks with heavy coral loads. Regular Red Sea Salt has slightly lower foundation elements and is better suited for fish-only or lightly stocked reef tanks.

How much salt do I need per gallon?
Use approximately 1/2 cup per gallon of RO/DI water and mix until dissolved. Target a specific gravity of 1.021–1.025 depending on your system.

Does this salt need to be mixed in advance?
Yes. Mix the salt with heated RO/DI water (75–78°F) and let it circulate with a powerhead for at least 2–4 hours before adding to your tank. This ensures full dissolution and stable parameters.
