How often does the fleece roll need replacing?
It varies with bio-load, feeding, and how dirty your water runs. The ReefBeat app tracks usage and will send a low-roll alert well before you run out.

Do I have to use the ReefBeat app?
The ReefMat 250 will run standalone, but connecting it to ReefBeat unlocks usage logs, fault alerts (torn fleece, empty roll), and notification before it needs a refill.

Is it skimmer-friendly?
Yes. The 50 g/m² non-woven polyester fleece is designed to be skimmer-friendly and won't strip beneficial organics the way finer media can.
