Rod's Food Predator Blend is the chunky one: a nutrient-dense frozen blend of whole shrimp, scallop, oyster, clam, squid, octopus, perch and krill cut in pieces sized for big mouths, balanced with greens, brine shrimp and mini pellets and finished with omega-3 DHA and astaxanthin. It is made by hand in the USA and triggers an intense feeding response from lionfish, puffers, eels, triggers, groupers and other carnivorous marine fish, including picky new arrivals. How to Feed
- Break or cut a small portion off the frozen flat pack and return the pack to the freezer.
- Thaw the portion in a cup of tank water for a few minutes.
- Pour it into a high-flow area of the tank, or target feed shy eaters with a baster.
- Feed 1 to 2 times daily, only as much as your fish finish in 3 to 5 minutes, and remove anything left over.
Keep the pack frozen and never refreeze a thawed portion. Large predators are often fed every other day rather than daily; let their body condition guide you.

FAQ
Can I feed it to corals or small reef fish? The chunks are cut for predators, so it is not a coral food and small-mouthed fish will struggle with it. Use Rod's Original or Fish Only blends for a mixed reef.
Is it for freshwater predators too? It is formulated for marine carnivores. Freshwater keepers sometimes use it for large cichlids and oscars, but a freshwater-specific food is a better staple.
Why pickup only? It has to stay frozen. We keep it in the store freezer and hand it to you at pickup instead of risking a thawed pack in a shipping box.
How long does a pack last? A 2 oz pack is a week or two of feedings for a couple of predators; the 8 oz pack lasts a fish-only tank about a month with normal feeding.
