Seachem SulfaPlex
Seachem SulfaPlex is a sulfathiazole-based medication that clears both bacterial and fungal infections in freshwater and saltwater fish. It is one of the gentler antibiotics available, which makes it a smart choice for fish already weakened or stressed by illness. SulfaPlex will not cloud or discolor the water, does not impair the biological filter at the recommended dose, and lifts out easily with activated carbon once treatment is finished. - Freshwater and saltwater. Safe and effective in both systems.
- Stays clear. Will not cloud or stain aquarium water.
- Filter friendly. Does not impair nitrification at the recommended dose.

How to Use
Use 1 measure (250 mg, the included scoop) for every 40 litres (about 10 US gallons), once daily for 5 days. Add the powder where water flows, or pre-dissolve it in a cup of tank water first. After the final dose, perform a partial water change and run fresh activated carbon to remove residual medication. For best results, treat in a dedicated hospital or quarantine tank and remove invertebrates before dosing, as with any medication.

FAQ
Does SulfaPlex work in both freshwater and saltwater?
Yes. It is effective in both, and it is especially good at treating the common bacterial and fungal infections seen in freshwater fish.
Will it crash my biological filter?
At the recommended dose, SulfaPlex does not impair nitrification. As a precaution, keep an eye on ammonia during treatment, particularly in newly cycled tanks.
Is it safe for shrimp, snails, and corals?
Treat affected fish in a separate hospital tank and remove invertebrates before dosing. This is standard practice with any aquarium medication.
How do I remove it when I am done?
Perform a partial water change and run fresh activated carbon. SulfaPlex is removed easily with carbon.
