Care Guide
Provide a cycled aquarium of at least 5 gallons with a heater, gentle filtration and a secure lid. Live plants, smooth shelters and resting leaves near the surface give the fish places to explore and rest. Leave clear access to the surface for breathing, and avoid sharp decorations that can snag long fins.
Keep temperature and water chemistry steady. Test water regularly, maintain zero ammonia and nitrite, and use partial water changes to control nitrate. Feed small portions of a quality betta pellet once or twice daily, removing leftovers. Offer thawed bloodworms or brine shrimp occasionally for variety.

Compatibility
A dedicated aquarium is the simplest choice. Never house two male bettas together, and do not keep a male and female together as a routine pair.
